Boudoir Photography

So you have been dabbling around the idea of a boudoir, but hey it's kind of nerve wracking! I get it! Fun fact: I've been there, I have actually had a boudoir session so I get where you are coming from and I can relate 100%. I was by no means in love with my current body, but hey it was a present for my hubby (or so I thought). It actually turned out to be the best present I could have ever given to myself! BODY POSITIVITY

Time and time again I hear women tell me they just need to lose those 5-10 pounds before they are ready. 9 out of 10 times they never book that session. Most women, when they look at themselves tend to focus on the negative things... the things we want to change. When you are working with a experienced boudoir photographer your perspective can change. I know I know... you don't belive me (yet), but I promise I have been there! The photographer sees the best qualities you have to offer and focuses on those features. With the technique of posing and lighting I often hide those troublesome areas you might not love.

The goal of the entire session is to have you leave feeling confident and sexy! To make you fall in love with your body again, and it takes courage to allow yourself to have this kind of experience.

THE ACTUAL PHOTO SESSION

From the very beginning the day will be filled with a pampering experience including hair and makeup! Most of my women are mamma's and sometimes with all the hustle and bustle of life no longer have time to pamper themselves. This is KEY! When you look your best you feel your best. During the session I will be coaching you all the way from facial expressions to how to pose your body. Most likely modeling is not your day job so it is my job to get you in those perfect positions and create beautiful images! One of the most important things you can do is bring your personality! Relax and don't be afraid to have fun with it. Laugh a little we don't have to be serious the whole time!

While you are out shopping for clothing be sure to consult your photographer. She will have some insight to what pieces might be most flattering in pictures. For example a common go to is a flowy top, but that hides any and all curves and sometimes makes you actually look bigger than you are.. While we are on the topic of outfits not every piece has to be "lingerie". Bring something of his or even a cozy oversized sweatshirt with knee socks!

Hopefully I have convinced you to at least think about it! :)
